Keep Pressing in the Pressure

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus,”

Paul to the Philippians in 3:14.

Life can be like a pressure cooker sometimes! Right? And, if we don’t respond rightly in times of pressure, we can find ourselves reliving old patterns repeatedly. But, remember this very important fact, there’s a Divine purpose for pressure in the life of a Christian. Paul understood it well. He wrote things like, “For my light and momentary affliction [or pressure] is working for me a far heavier weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17). And, “… not only this, but [with joy] let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice in our hardships, knowing that hardship (distress, pressure, trouble) produces patient endurance…” (Romans 5:3). Pressure is working for our good, as we stay fervent in faith and patient endurance to keep fulfilling the call of God on our lives. So, as Paul said in Philippians 3:14, we should, like him, press in the pressure, and keep pressing toward God and the prize of finishing our call in Christ!

We all need to know that pressure is required to produce the sweet and tender heart God desires. Pressure is required to produce fruit and the anointing oil that brings deliverance, healing, and restoration. So, don’t resist the pressure, surrender to it, and press through it. As you do your life will become a sweet-smelling aroma to Christ and your life will impact many around you. One thing is for sure, you have been given much a field, a vineyard, a gift, and a call which all requires pressure to produce the fruit God desires. Speaking of your gifts and calls, this Saturday the GSF Women’s Gathering Rise Up It’s Time to Build will be a great opportunity for you to be strengthened and blessed with courage and wisdom as you press toward your upward call in Christ Jesus! The registration fee is $25 which includes lunch and a swag bag. You can RSVP by commenting here or register and pay online at: https://bit.ly/3hEJlhK. Or, just come and join us Saturday morning (August 22) at 9am.
